Ryan Gosling spotted in Portsmouth
Woah, what a weekend!
Who'd have thought that international movie star Ryan Gosling would be spotted on South Parade Pier on a random Sunday morning?

According to some sleuthing and rumours, Ryan Gosling was there filming scenes for the upcoming science fiction film Project Hail Mary, which will be released in 2026.
Apparently, the production crew has been based in Lakeside all week, and some people have even spotted them filming in the Dockyard.

Of course, this isn't the first time South Parade Pier has been used for filming. It was infamously featured in the 1975 movie Tommy. During filming, a fire broke out, resulting in some severe damage. There are all sorts of rumours. Some believe the fire was started on purpose. To add fuel to the fire (pun intended), Ken Russell continued to film while the fire brigade was fighting the fire.
Portsmouth is an excellent backdrop for filming. Just ask Mr Bean. But what's surprising is that Ken himself was in our little island city.
This has got to be one of the most exciting Sunday mornings we've had in a while!
